Six hours of one-to-one private lessons for £80 (skate hire extra and all payable at the first lesson). The lessons can be taken hourly or in blocks. Book your lessons by email now or call/text 07733 276 902.
PRIVATE LESSONS (recommended)
How much do they cost? A private lesson costs as follows:
- 1 skater £18 per skating hour
- 2 skaters £30 per skating hour
- 3 skaters £36 per skating hour
If you need to hire skates there is an extra charge, refer to skating equipment page.
Lessons held outdoors mainly at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow Green, or Cramond / Silverknowes, Edinburgh. Alternative venues can be arranged when required. If you would like Don to hold lessons nearer your home the following rates give an idea of travelling costs to add to your lesson:
- Ayrshire coast - Stirling - Falkirk - £5
- Edinburgh - Perth - £10 (No charge for Edinburgh on Saturdays).
- Don will travel to other locations by arrangement, ask for a quote.
- Lessons are available any day by arrangement, click or call to book.
Learn to Skate in a Day (Private Lesson)
If you are time poor and keen to skate sooner why not learn to skate in a day. 4 hours of "one to one" skating costs £50 which includes skate hire and safety pads just bring your helmet. (A day too long? Try a half day £30). Lessons held at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow Green and Cramond/Silverknowes Edinburgh. For other locations add travelling costs. Dates, times, etc. will be arranged to fit in with your busy schedule. Click or call/text to make arrangements.
Heel-Brake Clinic (Group lesson)
- Improve technique.
- Build confidence.
- Learn to stop on hills.
- Master difficult surfaces.
For many new skaters stopping is a big problem. Easy enough to get going not so easy to stop. Competence at stopping using the heel-brake is the essential key in helping the skater gain early confidence. Don runs hourly Heel-Brake Clinics at Bellahouston Park. - Course Time: 7pm to 8pm.

Each session lasts a skating hour and is for the "First Time" skater or those who wish to start from the very beginning. Learn to stride, stop and turn, build confidence, improve skills and advance at your own pace. Adults of ALL ages welcome. The five week course costs £40, add £10 if you need to hire skates for the course. (Your own skates must have a heel-brake). Note these are not "drop-in" courses, send email (or call/text 07733 276 902) to pre-register and book a place.
Prefer to be skate with your own friends? Then why not get a group together (minimum 4 skaters) and have the course tailored to suit your own timetable.
