Junior Rollerblading (inline skating)

Always wear pads and a helmet

Kids want to skate? (8 to 12 years of age)

Then book a private lesson to see if they like skating. Children should be taught the basics properly from the start. This is the best way to begin inline skating giving the junior skater an opportunity to skate correctly. The £10 cost (pay on the day) includes hire of skates (proper free rolling skates with heel-brake) and safety pads all provided at the lesson, just bring your cycle helmet, compulsory. The accompanying adult must be in attendance during the entire lesson.

Junior Rollerblading Group Classes

Rollerblading at schools

It is a mystery why schools don't encourage inline skating, currently there is such an emphasis on physical activity to keep children healthy and avoid being overweight. Skating adds excitement and fun to any exercise programme. Skating improves balance, is a life time skill and popular with children because they don't find it boring. Very strange that inline skating is such an excluded activity.
